Green Leaves

SmashBear Publishing is looking for short story submissions for our upcoming anthology “Blooms of Dawn”.

In these uncertain times, it is paramount to draw on hope. The focus of the plot should surround hope, whether that is something or someone that gives you hope.

Contemporary topics should be avoided, as we want to remain exclusively in the genres of urban fantasy, fantasy, horror, and paranormal romance. All profits will be donated to PAL Humanity, a charity set up by doctors and sisters Nour and Nagham, who are on the ground in Gaza providing aid and hope to the people of Palestine. More information about this amazing cause can be found here.

Stories must be written in English, either UK or US, and should not exceed 1,000 words. Please make sure that all work meets the standards set out in our submission guidelines.

There is no cost to submit your work, and all authors will receive a free e-copy of the completed anthology.

Make sure that any and all work sent to us is:

  • In a Word document

  • Size 12, Times New Roman

  • 1.5 spaced

Please submit stories here by the 31st of May 2024. If your story is chosen, we will be in touch with you to advise on next steps.

Note: Submissions are ONLY open for this anthology.
